Draco/Ginny -the acumen allotment 3

right i am about halfway to finsihing part 4 :) soz it took so long but i actually have my idea so not too long till part 4 :) sorry this took so long, i just had no ideas, so heres the storyline bellatrix has just 'killed' draco, so ginny harry ron and hermione all can't believe their eyes. ginny goes to chase after bellatrix only to find greyback. but harry comes to the rescue and saves her. hermione thinks that they should go and see ginny when dumbledore comes in and asks to see harry. so hermione and ron go off to see ginny in the hosptial ward. dumbledore tells harry he has two things to tell him. number one is that ginny and voldemort still have a link, and that spell that hit ginny has avtivated it. and he hopes voldmeort doesnt yet know of the link. you have to be open minded to get part 3 by the way. so anyway harry says how can that be so dumbledore says we don't know, but that he is certin there is still a link as he got the hosptial ward to run some tests on ginny. then harry asks what the 2nd thing is. dumbledore tells him to touch the ring and harry does so. you see draco malfoy trapped in a room. so dumbledore then says, that draco is not dead. dundundun...................... Part 4 should be coming around early January, sorry it takes so long but i often cant decide which idea to use. hope you like it

Full Comments on Harry Potter Movie - Order of the Phoenix

After four Harry Potter movies, we finally get a chance to see Daniel Radcliffe kissing. As the movie cast grow into their teenage years, so does the "heat" in the scenes. The newest Harry Potter movie, Order of the Phoenix, showcases many more computer generated imagery (CGI) wonders.

In fact, when you watch the Order of the Phoenix trailer, you can see that almost every scene in the trailer has CGI in it. Thank goodness that the kissing scene was not CGI. Then again, a CGI kissing scene would be interesting too. Fans of the Harry Potter movies know that the newest sequel, Order of the Phoenix is not one to be missed. The movie was scheduled for release in cinemas on Wednesday 11th July 2007.

Being released almost a week later in the cinemas after the CGI Transformers movie, the newest sequel of the Harry Potter movies was set to challenge the $152 million and counting earnings of the CGI Transformers movie.

Also, CGI works of the new Harry Potter movie; Order of the Phoenix may not stand up to the likes of the Transformers movie but it should still be an entertaining feat to behold. It should be interesting to see how the fifth Harry potter movie, Order of the Phoenix, really appeals to the loyal fans.

Having a loyal cast for four movie sequels is an amazing feat. Harry Potter is one of the movies that have successfully presented the original cast since the first movie, The Philosopher's Stone. I think it is wonderful since the viewers can relate to the actor's style of acting which, I think makes movie sequels more successful.

Will we ever have enough of Harry Potter adventures? I doubt it, even though it is only my opinion but I am actually excited to see view Harry Potter well in to adulthood & watch how the character grows in the movies.

One of the lasting Harry Potter characters is Professor Albus Dumbledore. Micheal Gambon had played the old & wise character since the first movie, The Philosopher's Stone. His prowess as playing an old wizard is also equivalent to Ian Mckellan acting on Lord of the rings.

One may become confused between the two as both characters in both separate lines of movies have the similar wise & old wizard character. Nonetheless, the main characters of both movies are not the wizard character which makes it an excusable coincidence, in my opinion.

Graduation Gift For Him

Buying a graduation gift for a male can be a very rewarding experience for you and for the graduate. Depending on the age of the male and your relationship to him, there are hundreds of gifts that are perfect for his special day.

A high school graduate heading to college or a college graduate heading out into the world will, without a doubt, welcome any gift from family and friends. The most appropriate gifts are practical ones. At this point in a young man's life a gift of money would probably be the most practical, but other gifts like gift certificates, lap top computers, electronic organizers, portable DVD or MP3 players, brief cases and portfolios are also acceptable. For a high school guy heading to college a round trip ticket home would put his mind at ease - knowing he has a way to escape on school vacation. A college grad would surely be thrilled with a ticket to the Bahamas or any exotic island.

If the graduate is a family friend, a pen set, watch, "special graduate" plaque, graduation album, engraved stationary or food basket are all lovely ways to say "congratulations." Gift certificates to food, clothing, music and bookstores are also quite nice. If your not sure of the young man's tastes, find a mall that offers a gift certificate to any of their stores, or order a certificate on the Internet that can be used in hundreds of online websites. This guarantees you that there has to be something out there that the grad will want and that he will appreciate the fact that you care.

Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows - Book Review

It's the FINAL BOOK, folks! After ten years, we finally come to the grand extravaganza that is The Deathly Hallows by J.K Rowling and boy! was it a ride and then some. Harry is now set to hunt for the Horcruxes and goes with his best friends Ron and Hermione. However, the sudden knowledge of something called 'The Deathly Hallows' causes our hero to re-think Dumbledore's plans on defeating Voldermort. But hold on! What's this about Dumbledore not being all that he's claimed to be? There's a new book out that purports our favorite headmaster as a man with a lot of secrets. Not only that, Professor Snape has even more of a back-story that's bound to shock the reader. In the end, the great battle is fought, all our favorite characters make their return - lives are lost, new ones begin and by the time you're through, you feel you've been there with these characters from the beginning!

I especially liked Harry's development in this book. He's definitely matured (even though there are moments of childish whims) but one can see that he has made an effort to become a better young man. I also liked his relationships with Ron and Hermione and a few other characters in the book. My absolute favorites were the final battle scenes. J.K Rowling did a wonderful job!

I didn't like the sudden deaths of Lupin, Tonks and Fred (well his death was expected but it came as a shock to me all the same). I also didn't like the character development of Ginny Weasley. Her characterization and mannerisms were quite unlike the Ginny we've come to know and seemed quite out of place. Also, the epilogue, I could have done without. I did not see the need for it, and even if J.K Rowling had to use it, I'm sure she could have written it in a much better way. It was quite confusing and made no sense to me as the sudden appearances of new characters created a chaotic finale.

However, I recommend this book because it is a finale that was just about done right...there are a few questions that were still left, but J.K Rowling has promised an encyclopedia of sorts to answer them. That I have to pick up once it comes out.

Last but not least, with all the hoopla made about this, all things considered it was a good book and a good way to end things for Harry and his friends. I would have liked to see a few things changed around, but that's just me. Definitely a must read for all Potter fans who have grown up with him over the years!

The Magic of Harry Potter

In the fictional series of Harry Potter that was created by J.K. Rowling, magic is depicted as a natural force, which can be used to overrule the basic laws of nature although it is approached entirely scientifically. In the Harry Potter series, there are a number of magical creatures - and a few ordinary creatures - which demonstrate magical properties, like the owls used to deliver posts. There are also a few objects that are imbued or enhanced with magical power. A few humans in the series that are able to perform magic have been referred to as wizards and witches in contrast to other non magical Muggles.

This magic is just the norm in the children of couples having magical powers and is less in those of the Muggles. There are also exceptions like those who are unable to perform magic although being born to magic powered parents, called as Squibs, whereas a wizard or witch that is born to the Muggle parent is called as Muggle-born or Mudblood. The Muggle-born are very common in the series, whereas the Squibs are very rarely shown, which is reflected by the size of Wizarding and Muggle populations.

In today's world, Harry Potter is the most famous fictional young hero in the series of Harry Potter. The series also includes a book for all their Harry Potter series by J.K. Rowling of Britain. The books include the tale of an orphan, Harry. The books begin with his first years as a ward of a wicked uncle and aunt, to his enrollment in the school of wizards and the harrowing and exciting adventures that follow. This captivating series has become almost as popular amongst adults, as with the kids. Although these books have raised the concern of a tiny vocal minority, who mention some of the violent content and the evil characters like the witchcraft as the cause for alarm, for the most part it has been excitedly embraced by parents and also the educational community.

The magic of Harry Potter can also be incorporated as a great teaching method. There are various guides that have been published by the same Harry Potter author that include various guidelines on our daily life. There are chapters included in the learning guides like 'standing out to our enemies requires a great deal of bravery, but just as much to stand out for our friends'. Apart from this, there are also Harry Potter Magic puzzles that let you share a little of Harry's supernatural powers among friends. There are also various other means of learning from the magical land of Harry Potter like bringing out the bravery yet being polite among the crowd. However, you can include Harry Potter learning guides only after your parents have recommended the same, as there are a few parents who have a different opinion on the themes of wizardry and magic, and not all parents appreciate it.

All said and done, there's no denying that the magic of Harry Potter has become part of many.

Writing Epic Fantasy - Taking a Courageous Approach to the Genre

One of the most commonly heard quotes in our world, especially in motivational circles and in Internet marketing is: "Don't reinvent the wheel." The advice for the writer is to read other peoples work, notice what is successful, and follow the formula that they have perfected. This way you can be "successful" without having to put in too much work. If this is what you want to do then I have laid the formula out for you right here. In eight easy steps you too can be a successful epic fantasy novelist.

The formula for success:

1. Create a bunch of interesting non-human characters like orcs, dragons, elves or dwarves; of course your hero should be human or nearly human

2. Put them in a fantastical world filled with magic and secret places

3. Open up your novel with something exciting to get the reader hooked

4. Keep the action moving - insert a series of small obstacles that need to be overcome

5. foreshadow something really big that will happen (won't happen in this novel though -if it ever happens at all)

6. Come up with two big things that will happen and when they are resolved they cancel each other out so the plot hasn't advanced at all

7. Make a big lead up to the next novel (promise the moon)

8. Repeat steps 3-7 in the next novel

Before you follow this formula (Which is guaranteed to make you a wealthy and successful novelist in less than 30 days) why don't you stop and think about why you want to write epic fantasy.

You are probably writing epic fantasy or thinking about writing it because of the appeal of creating a hero that you can admire. You want to write a story about an average person (or hobbit) that goes against the grain, ignores popular opinion, and yet somehow comes out triumphant in the end. So why are you not going to follow this path in your own writing?

Isn't this a bit of an irony? It's kind of like watching a bunch of Bruce Lee movies then writing a book on self-defense. It is all technically sound but in your own life do you actually do it?

In Epic Fantasy the basic tenet is about having courage -courage in the face of insurmountable odds or even probable death and the courage to continue on when the path is dark. It's what we admire about the genre. It's why we read the genre. The little guy (often little is literal as in a hobbit as in lord of the rings or a even a rabbit as in Watership Down) overcomes everything to do what is right. He fights internal conflict, battles evil creatures, and learns something about himself along the way. The great writers of the genre had this courage.

Tolkien was terribly criticized for his work when it was first published. But he believed in the world he was creating and he persevered. Stephen King had the courage to move freely across different genres even within the same book. Robert Howard had the courage to write what he wanted to write even though he never gained the financial reward that he deserved. Frank Herbert had the courage to tackle the big questions and the big themes in life. And do you think Harry Potter would have climbed to such heights if J.K. Rowling didn't truly believe in Harry?

So where are the muscle bound struggling writers of the epic fantasy world with the courage to push for what is right? Is the next writer to advance the genre out there somewhere? Maybe it's you?

Some advice

Have courage! Don't write something because you think it will sell. Don't shoot for something popular. Don't read the currently popular epic fantasy novels and follow the same formula. Remember: this one of the basic lessons of epic fantasy itself -not to follow popular opinion. You are writing an epic fantasy story and your main character is no doubt going to face challenges on an epic scale. Have the courage to do the same thing. Come up with something new.

It's about the ideas

Epic fantasy isn't really about the slaying of dragons and the rescuing of princesses. It's about deeper meaning. It's about finding meaning in life. It's about taking a road never before taken and facing the unknown challenges that await. Follow this same path in your life and in your writing.

Forget about the grammar - for now

Too often a writer gets caught up in sentence structure, grammar and a host of other technical minutiae. You are going to break new ground. Let the story grow and let the ideas flow. Worry about the grammar later. For now you should just write. Get your ideas on paper. The world is waiting for your novel. Take a chance and go against the grain of popular belief. The world will thank you for it.

Need some help?

If you have written an Epic Fantasy novel that you think is courageous and none of the publishers will touch because it's too risky then send the manuscript to me. If I agree that it is something special -something worthy of a hero, I will get it published even if I have to pay for it myself. No thanks necessary and no financial reward considered. Just think of yourself as Bilbo and me as your Samwise Gamgee.

J.K Rowling - The Magician Who Created Harry Potter

JK Rowling, the celebrated author of the path breaking Harry Potter series of books has her name written down in the annals of literary history. Every one, of all age groups and across geographical boundaries has been touched by the charm of this magical story. The Harry potter books can boast of claiming the number one position on the top of The New York Times, USA Today, and Wall Street Journal bestseller lists. The latest one belonging to the series, Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince, is no exception.

It would be appropriate here to give a little background of the author of these books. Joanne Rowling was born in Chipping Sodbury near Bristol, England. After graduating from Exeter University, she started working as a secretary, and later moved on to teach English in Portugal. She currently resides in Scotland with her husband and three children. Her most noticeable achievements include winning the Hugo Award, the Bram Stoker Award, and the Whitbread Award for Best Children's Book.

It was in 1998 in United States that Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone was published. With this we witnessed the Potter-mania engulfing the whole nation, with both the children and the parents wanting to read the same books! The rest came out in quick succession, and by the fall of 1999, two new books had come out. Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire got released on 8th July, 2000 and within 48 hours of its release, sold about three million copies to become the fastest selling book in history! This title was claimed by Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix when it got released on June 21, 2003.

Warner Bros, the film production company has the rights to create films on all the Harry Potter books released till now. The Harry Potter books by Rowling have been translated into 63 languages and distributed in over 200 countries. Moreover, all the five books released so far have appeared in the bestsellers list of United States, Britain, and around the globe.

Putting The Harry Potter Into Boarding Schools

For those of you considering sending your child to a British boarding school, here is a bit of information about what your child might expect to find. Most boarding schools in England require a fee to be paid for board and the often superior teaching that goes on within the classes (class sizes can be a lot smaller than in normal education allowing the tutor to give each child more attention).

Children that board at school are alloted housemasters/mistresses that look after their general wellbeing and ensure that the schools rules and regulations are followed. Students need to be given permission by either there house master/mistress to leave the school premises. Popularised through the great story Harry Potter with its separate house names of Griffyndor and Slytherin houses provide the children with a group to belong to providing for fun competition within the school.

Most independent schools (boarding schools in England), have facilities such as dining areas, kitchens, study bedrooms, library and common rooms. Most of the time food is taken at set times in the day, with special provision provided when outings or school events are happening. Schools normally work a head boy or girl scheme where individuals are put in a position of monitored responsibility and help organize other students promoting individual responsibility and good networking skills.

Most UK boarding schools as previously mentioned have smaller class sizes to allow the tutor to provide a better service to the children. Students that board at the schools have a tendency to have extra curricular activities that can sometimes run until they go to bed, such as going to see a play, dance or orchestra, sporting events, discussion groups or extended studies. Some schools have specialized into their respective areas be it sport or dyslexia in children. Due to the age of some of the boarding schools in England you will find that many of them have small chapels for religious individuals to take prayer. Many have music-rooms, tennis courts, swimming pools, cinemas and theatres and provide the opportunity to partake in outdoor pursuits.

Family Christmas Activities That Create Sweet Memories

Christmas quickly approaches and vacation time for children as well. We therefore wonder how we are going to entertain our children during the end of year holidays. Holiday season is the best moment to share activities between adults and children.

The first of these activities is to get back into the mood for the magic and the festive spirit of this holiday by visiting shopping malls organizing beautifully decorated windows; which are an eternally renewed delight for the children and their parents.

Some shopping malls are also organizing areas consisting of a path to the lighting, decorations, displayed scenes from Christmas movies, train sets and toys simulating real situations; static or interactive decorations as a fire truck and fire fighters helping the victims of a fire or the express of the King's Cross railway station platform 9-3/4 bringing Harry Potter and his friends at Hogwarts. A little further on, after seeing Rudolph surrounded by elves and goblins relaxing on a fairy forest, we enter in the fantastic house of Barbie; which contains 35 rooms decorated for the December 24th Eve. Do not disturb her, she is hosting a Christmas party.

Another three steps and we will enter in the victorian area of this Christmas dream: hundreds of beautiful teddy bears are playing in a green grass area. Ten meters after them, we are approaching a bedroom where luxurious old fashioned porcelain dolls are sleeping in their cradle. At the end of this path, we meet Santa Claus, sitting on a golden seat and waiting for our children to communicate their wish list to him.

A picture of Santa Claus holding our child on his laps closes this magical journey that reminds us the taste and the atmosphere of our own childhood. This fairy journey will also become our first Christmas memory of the year.

The second activity will be the decoration of our house and the Christmas tree. Is there a better holiday activity than this one; which our children will remember when they will grow up and become parents? It will certainly give them the desire to perpetuate these traditions.

I remember the first time I decorated the tree with my mother and she told me to not to touch the flocking which simulated the snow because she thought that it would cut my fingers. I did not believe her... When my son helped me to decorate the Christmas tree for the first time, I told him not to touch the flocking and within one second, the taste and the atmosphere of my own childhood end of year holidays came back to my memory.

When the tree and the house are decorated, we will install the crib that represents the Nativity scene. Children have not lost their primary instincts and the scene will usually be more secure than beautiful, as if they wanted to protect the baby Jesus twenty centuries after his birth. Let them install the Christmas crib while we supervise their work. The scene of the nativity is also the opportunity to educate children about the birth of Jesus and the meaning of Christmas; and it is a fun way to learn history.

Another end of year holiday activity to share with our family is to walk on the streets to discover the gardens decorated with Santa Claus on his sleigh or climbing along the front of the houses, the lights on the municipal Christmas tree as well as participate in end of year Events organized by the municipality.

After a long and tiring day, we will enjoy a warm evening by watching a Christmas movie with our children, drink hot chocolate and eat waffles or cookies. These are some basic activities that will create, for us and our children, holiday season memories that will last for a lifetime.

Pirates (a Dramione)

Hi : ) My name is greta, and under the pen name singerhotti24, I've been writing a hp fanficion dramione called 'Pirates'. Here's the trailer : ) Link to the story: www.harrypotterfanfiction.com Summary: Pirates and Nobles: this very game gives a new definition to every witch and wizard. Murder doesn't come with regret, fighting doesn't come without scars, and hate treads a fine line with lust, not love. This very game was invented for inner house unity. To be honest, the murdering and hanging doesn't really help. Excerpt: He didnt even wince as her sword cut a hole in his shirt: turnabout seemed to be fair play. He sidestepped on of her blows, and with a risky move, he stepped closer and wrapped his sword around hers, bringing them hilt to hilt. You cant win, Granger. Hermione narrowed her eyes onto his. Youre delusional. Im right. They glared into each others eyes for one, long, heated moment. His eyes traced her features. He was so close that he could see the honey flecks in her wide eyes, the freckles adorning her little nose. Sheer determination in the form of sweat made her hair stick to her forehead. She was breathing hard, he noticed, and so was he. Later he wouldnt remember if it he wanted to, or if was impulse: his eyes narrowed on her parted lips, and suddenly, he was on fire Hermione breathed hard, keeping her eyes locked on his, refusing to submit, when his cold gaze left her eyes cruelly, and lowered to her mouth. NO! Hermione thought angrily. He is not ...

"Muggles" Make Magical Music

It's nearly midnight and I'm standing in a long and winding line that seems to go on forever. I shift from foot to foot and lean on a nearby bookshelf, exhausted. I pass the time by eavesdropping in on the many conversations humming around me: the excited chatter of expectations and premonitions. A clerk's PA announcement, "only two more minutes," raises whoops and cheers and my stomach is full of giddy butterflies. We have been waiting for years for this single event and now the last few minutes seem unbearable. I have not felt this eager for a single event since Christmas as a child.

I gaze tiredly at the several hundred people up and down the line and snicker at our black robes and pointed hats. How silly we adults must look as we anxiously count the seconds until we can get our hands on the final climatic Harry Potter book in the so-called children's series.

J.K. Rowling had truly created another world and it is truly magical. Her influence in the literary world inspired children to put down their Gameboy and pick up a book. The English vernacular adopted new words like "quiddich," "muggle" and "Voldemort." Everything in pop culture from fashion to film has been influenced by the series of seven books.

But beyond the 350,000,000+ copies of the books sold worldwide to date and the extensive marketing of toys, candies, lunchboxes, socks, toothbrushes, lampshades and any other conceivable number of things to be bought is the tremendous impact the Harry Potter story has had on music.

For starters there are the film scores to the movies by John Williams, Patrick Doyle and Nicholas Hooper that have reached multi-platinum levels for sales on the music charts. The popular "Hedwig's Theme," written by Williams, has been featured in all the films and is the Harry Potter anthem for dedicated fans. Heck, you can set it as the ring tone for your cellphone!

Beyond merchandising the film scores have received critical acclaim. Two of the movies were nominated for Academy Awards for best dramatic score arranged for full symphony. Amateur musicians have bought millions of sheet music books featuring themes arranged for piano, violin, clarinet and other instruments under the Warner Brothers label.

Pros have taken the themes to new levels, such as the Mark Kramer Jazz Trio who recorded "Hogwarts Forever"" "Nimbus 2000" and "Harry's Wondrous World" among other titles. Then there are junior songsmiths altering popular songs to take on a Harry Potter flair. Sing along to "Harry in the Sky with Diamonds," "Reach for the Scar" and "Harry Squarepants," but mind the copyright on the melody, please!

A new fad for those digitally inclined is creating music videos set to pop songs using clips from the Harry Potter films. Veritaserum.com, a popular Harry Potter fan site, currently has 149 such music videos posted. The videos feature music by Alanis Morissette, Glen Stefani, Evanescence, Kelly Clarkson and The Black Eyed Peas among many other artists cleverly set to shots from the movies.

Each music video tells a story and some are more professional than others. Love is the most popular theme and the teens go nuts for it. If you think it's all done by and for kids, think again. Videos with music by Credence Clearwater Revival, Simon and Garfunkel, The Who, Elton John and Anne Murray lead me to suspect some boomers are getting into the medium as well.

Interestingly these music videos are distributed widely online despite obvious copyright issues with the recording and film industries. But similar restrictions from the book publisher didn't stop people posting the books online in PDF format and several lawsuits are in the works.

By far the most fascinating facet of Harry Potter in music was the introduction of "wizard rock" in 2002. This new branch of pop music, usually shortened to "wrock" by loyal fans, has over 200 bands based mostly in the US who play music entirely about the Harry Potter books.

The first-ever wrock band was teen brother duo "Harry and the Potters" from Massachusetts who portray themselves as the series' main character Harry Potter at ages 14 and 17. Many wrock band songs are written from the viewpoint of the character from which the band was named, thus "Harry and the Potters" share musically what life as "the boy who lived" is like.

Unlike many other popular music bands who have written concept songs inspired by literature [cue Led Zeppelin's "Battle of Evermore" based on Tolkien's "Lord of the Rings"], wrock bands' only topic or influence is that of the Harry Potter domain. Song topics range from the mundane (life as a teenaged wizard and mushy love songs about the main characters) to the profound (the war of good and evil and prophecy). Some of it is just good, clean magical fun and far more appropriate for school-aged kids than most of the rubbish on the radio.

Below is a sample of lyrics from "The Wrock Show" by Marked as his Equal on the latest CD "My Scars Speak Volumes:"

"When Divination starts to get you down

When Ancient Runes has turned your smile into a frown

You gotta go to the Wizard Rock show

"So put away your ink and feather quill

Stow your books back in your bag

Throw your Invisibility Cloak over your head

And get a move on - don't you lag

"'Cause when you've had enough of Professor Binns

Go and get a Snackbox from the Weasley twins

You gotta go to the Wizard Rock show"

If you think this is just a garage band movement for pre-pubescents, some of these bands are cutting CDs and maintaining busy tour schedules. "Draco and the Malfoys," "The Whomping Willows," "The Parselmouths" and "The Remus Lupins" performed at the May 2007 fan convention, Phoenix Rising, to countless ecstatic fans.

Most of the bands prefer to perform in libraries, bookstores and schools to promote reading. Almost all wrock bands perform in costume. An upcoming documentary film, "Wizard Rockumentary: A Movie About Rocking and Rowling," will explore the wizard rock music movement. The clock strikes midnight. Potterphiles push in line as store clerks slash towering stacks of sealed boxes open. Successful buyers clutch their shopping bags close as they exit the bookstore in haste. Some can't wait to get home and read huddled together on the lit curb outside the store.

A middle-aged woman slaps her daughter's hands, asserting, "Hands off, kid! Get your own copy" I watch with hungry eyes forever: it's 15 minutes until I am at the front of the line. Finally I cradle a copy of "Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows" and stroke the thick spine lovingly. Mine was one in over 15 million copies (that's with six zeros, folks) sold worldwide in the first 24 hours.

A day or so and many handkerchiefs later I have polished it off and have the post-series blues. It's all over and there's no other books to look forward to. No spoilers here, suffice to say I believe it was Rowling's best work yet and worth boycotting television, food or sleep in order to complete the 607-page read in one sitting.

What's next for we fans of this magical series? Well, even if Rowling keeps her word and does not write anything further on her world of magic, she has inspired generations to come with her craft.

Thank you, J.K. and wrock on, muggles!

How To Make A Million Dollars In One Month

I bet I am going to get the attention of many many readers with that headline. The disappointing news is that unless you win the lotterry or have some other very very fortunate occurrence in your life, you are not going to make a million Dollars in one month.

We all want to be millionaires. We want to lead the life of the rich and famous. And we are convinced that they had that money fall into their laps, appear in their bank accounts one day, were really lucky in their deals, were at the right spot at the right time and any other bizarre kind of acquisition process one can think of. If you are Paris Hilton, then yes it did. However, if you look at the source of her money, it is certain that the original Conrad Hilton worked very hard for his money. Because that is what most millionaires have had to do. This includes the Bill Gates, Steve Jobs, John D Rockefeller, Andrew Carnegie, Oprah Winfrey or JK Rowling's of this world, who have often been through hardships before their sheer determination and hard work paid off. Sometimes, they even had to endure going bankrupt in their quest for wealth, such as Conrad Hilton who lost his hotels during the Depression before buying them back again as soon as he could.

So you want to make a million Dollars in a month, starting from zero, otherwise you wouldn't be reading this article. Bury that thought. It isn't going to happen to 99% of us. The question is though, taking away the one month time and extending that into a longer time period, of whatever length you would be comfortable with, would it be possible. Of course.

There are many reasons why the millionaires and billionaires have made it happen for themselves. In the next few posts I will examine some of these attributes, habits and obsessions that I think have made it possible for these people to earn the millions that they have. In this first article I am going to look at the one personality trait that I think would be the most important one to have in order to succeed. As with all personality traits, these are not ones necessarily that one is only born with. They can be developed by anybody. Besides this, any number of other people could determine that my first choice is not correct, unlikely to be the one and other general objections. With other words this is a personal opinion. I am sure there are many people who have other opinions on this, and I would love to hear them.

The most important characteristic for financial or other success is passion. It could be called obsession as well of course, or tunnel vision, one track mind, stubbornness and more. It really depends on how one looks at this personality trait whether one calls it passion or obsession. I am certain if one were to study the people who have managed to acquire their millions in their life time, that this one particular character trait would be found in all or most of them.

For an example, reading some background on JK Rowling, who is said to be just behind Oprah Winfrey in terms of wealth, world wide, in the entertainment field. Her first Harry Potter book was submitted to twelve publishing houses, all of which rejected it. A year later she finally was given the go ahead by a small publisher with an advance of £1500.00. And the advice from the publisher was that she should get herself a job since she had little chance of making a living writing children's books. The first Harry Potter book had a print run of 1000, of which 500 were sent to libraries. In a report by the BBC it is stated that 12 million copies are to be printed just for the United States market for the launch in July 2007. How many of us would have given up when we were told that we would never make it, the advice by a publisher who would probably have known his market?

If you want to make a million dollars, discover that something that makes you really really passionate. It's there. You've just allowed life and all its ups and downs to burry it. Put some real and passionate effort into that exercise. It doesn't matter what it is. Just as an aside, I think just being passionate about having lots of money isn't the same! If that were so, I would be a billionaire by now. And if you are not interested in making a million Dollars, don't beat yourself up either. Hope you have fun reading the posts anyway. Let me know how you go! For people who would like some help with getting passionate check http://www.anjamerret.blogspot.com

Popular Lego Themes For All Ages

Lego's have entertained children of all ages since their creation in 1934, and have been one of the most popular toys in America for over 50 years. Created in Denmark by Ole Kirk Christiansen, the Danish word "LEgGOdt" was converted into LEGO, which means play well.

There are multiple choices for LEGO sets for children of all ages. The perfect set for the child on your list depends on their interests. Large and colorful Duplo sets enchant the youngest builders, while the advanced sets attract older teens and even adults. Children between the ages of 9 and 12 can choose from a large variety of LEGO sets to challenge their growing skills.

Since it began producing plastic bricks, the Lego group has released thousands of Lego sets themed around various interests, movies, and television shows. Here are some of the top LEGO building sets in the market today that your child will love.

LEGO offers series of building sets based on popular movies and television shows. These detailed sets bring favorite characters, scenes, and vehicles to life. They are great for imaginative play and make excellent display pieces if your child grows from playing with Lego sets to collecting them.

-Star Wars

-Speed Racer

-Pirates of the Caribbean

-Batman

-Harry Potter

-Jurassic Park III

-Spider-man

-Spongebob Squarepants

-Avatar

Lego has created many building sets based on popular themes among children. Another theme is the popular Lego City series, which contains both new and classic Lego sets of buildings and vehicles.

Lego Exo-Force is another Lego create series that is a great option for many older children. Exo-Force is based on an anime story that pits the Exo-Force team against a robot army. Your child can build Exo-Force team members and their robot enemies, then engage in epic battles.

If your child is looking for more of a challenge, try Lego Technics. These sets are based on real life machines, such as construction equipment and trucks. They involve more complex building, such as steering and suspension systems, and they are available in a variety of difficulty levels.

Daniel Radcliffe Talks Harry Potter Behind-the-Scenes

Twitter.com - Follow Us! Get some Harry Potter behind-the-scenes info straight from the cast - keep watching! Welcome to another episode of Clevver TV. I'm Dana Ward here to tell you about the Deathly Hallows movie making details. Film star Daniel Radcliffe spoke out about life on the set. He said QUOTE, Its chaos and its fear and were terrified were not going to get it right, and its absolute madness with rewrites and script changes and scripts not being written and then coming. Its just mad. So apparently the entire crew feels the need to really please Harry Potter fans, who have helped support the franchise earn more than 1.7-billion-dollars over the years. Remember this is the last shoot that will ultimately create the final Deathly Hallows story - part one and part two - and the ending of this popular Harry Potter series is important as it marks the end of a legacy. But fans shouldn't get too worried about the on-set chaos because Radcliffe also mentioned that "chaos bears something so cool and great and polished out into the world." Again, we link the set craziness to the production's desire to "do it right", because it seems everything else has stayed similar to previous film shoots. Castmate Bonnie Wright - that's Ginny Weasley - commented on how amazing it's been to work with the same set of actors throughout the entire Potter series, calling it a "safeness" when you come back to film another installment, even comparing it to heading back to school. That was the ...

Harvey Putter and the Ridiculous Premise - Harry Potter Parody Film Slated For '10 Release

Have you read Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows, and still can't get enough of Harry Potter? Then get out to the next wizard rock concert in your area. Here in Northern Indiana, the wizard rock band to see is The Quaffle Kids.

The Quaffle Kids rocked Fun FX in Mishawaka, Indiana on Friday, October 12th. The show opened with a short acoustic set by Neville's Diary, a side project by Quaffle Kids guitarist Bryce Cone. Bryce sang a cool song about the rivalry between Lupin and Snape, and another about Neville at the Yule Ball.

The Quaffle Kids took to the stage, dressed in suits and ties much like Harry and Ron wear under their Hogwarts robes. Singer Tim Richardson sported atomic-red hair. The band launced into "Black Hand/Long White Beard," their tribute to Albus Dumbledore. Other songs worth noting:

"Quidditch Time," which cleverly borrowed on the riff from "Closing Time"

In the same vein, a song about Luna Lovegood in the style of the Green Day tune "Basket Case"

"Ron's Rant," a hilarious song about the downside of being Harry Potter's best friend

"Wizard Rockers Unite," a musical shout-out to other wizard rock bands, including the more well-known Harry and the Potters.

But listening to the Quaffle Kids is only half the fun. In addition to singing in The Quaffle Kids, Tim Richardson is an independent filmmaker, producer and writer. His last project was the Lord of the Rings parody Dork of the Rings. His newest project is Harvey Putter and the Ridiculous Premise, which was filmed in 2008 and will be released in January 2010. Set at Snogwarts wizard school, it chronicles the seventh year of Harvey Putter and his friends. The Ridiculous Premise is sure to be wildly popular with Harry Potter fans . . . and even with Harry haters, who will have a good time laughing at all the hype.

Now we can all follow along with the progress of this production on Internet Movie Data Base (IMDB). See a sneak preview of Professor Snake's Lotions class at YouTube.

I'm really excited about the adventures of Harvey Putter and his best friends, Hernia Grunger and Rod Cheesely, as they prepare to do battle with Lord Moldymort. Now that the last pages of Deathly Hallows have been read and re-read, and only one book has yet to be filmed, what else do we Potter fans have to look forward to?

You can visit the Harvey Putter homepages on MySpace and FaceBook.

Goodbye HOLLYWOOD Sign & James Bond Aston Martin!

The iconic Hollywood sign may be making a move out of California. Super-star movie news, is up next! Hey guys! Welcome to getthedaily.com. I'm Dana Ward with all of the latest in Hollywood. Can the movie and celebrity mecca survive without the ever-famous Hollywood sign? It seems the land that has hosted the larger-than-life sign since 1923 is up for grabs. While the letters were initially put-up to promote real estate in the area, those big white letters spelling out Hollywood have inarguably become a socal icon. An investment group purchased 138 untouched acres of land from the estate of billionaire Howard Hughes just about 5-years ago for 1-point-5-million-dollars. And now the group is offering the land for 22-million-bucks. Even with the public standing behind the Hollywood sign preservation, it may take some serious starpower to keep these 45-foot letters from being torn down. And another symbolic icon exists no longer. It's James Bond's famous Aston Martin that a driver accidentally plunged into a lake while on-set in northern Italy. The driver wasn't even racing in a scene for the newest Quantum of Solace 007 film, but he was simply delivering the stud vehicle to the set during heavy rain over the weekend. The driver had minor injuries from the fall into Lake Gardam, and Bond's car was smashed and totaled. Harry Potter founder - JK Rowling - sues her story's biggest superfan for getting too wizardly. Apparently, Steven Vander-Ark began working with a boutique ...

Oh No! What Do I Give? A Guide For Valentine's Day

Every year on February 14th the whole world turns pink and red and is suddenly covered in hearts! This miraculous change is known as Valentine's Day, a holiday that celebrates romantic couples by encouraging gift giving and sweet nothings. But Valentine's Day can also be a complicated day. As any one in a relationship can tell you, knowing how far to go or what exactly your gift means is difficult, and may involve guesswork. So here is a breakdown of some ways to go.

1. Super Romantic- if Valentine's Day is the day for you to tell how you feel, try honest communication and a little hard work. A handmade card or an original poem can be very sweet and sincere. And for the born givers out there, such a sweet gesture can be added to a jewelry box, a bundle of flowers, or a bustling balloon bouquet.

2. Romantic Casual- For those couples still getting to know each other, sweet treats are a great Valentine's Day surprise, giving a wonderful, delicious gift without leaving a sentimental souvenir. Flowers less known for their romantic attributes can have the same affect; stick with bright colored daisies or lilies, or something in their favorite color. And balloons can last for up to 3 weeks, a fun, temporary addition to someone's home for.

3. Just Friends? - Valentine's Day can still be celebrated among just friends. You can keep the holiday light and fun by getting funny Valentine's Day cards and giving out candy bars instead of a romantic heart-shaped box of chocolates.

Don't forget! The size of your gift may also indicate how seriously you're celebrating your Valentine's Day. So think about how your gift will be received before you send it.

How To Become An Overnight Success

Taylor Hicks, Evelyn Adams, William "Bud" Post, Eldrick Woods, Suzanne Mullins, and Joanne "Jo" Rowling all have something in common. For at least one time in each of their lives, they were an overnight success.

Many Americans, at least, will recognize Taylor Hicks as a 2006 winner of the popular TV show, "American Idol". British subjects have cause to be proud of Joanne "Jo" Rowling who is more easily recognized by her pen name, J. K. Rowling. Those who still don't recognize her have almost certainly heard of the boy wizard she created who goes by the simple name of Harry Potter. Harry's a bit of an overnight success himself, and he has taken J. K. Rowling along on a magical ride. Who's Eldrick Woods? Oh, if I had just said Tiger Woods, you would have picked up on it right away, and where's the fun in that?

Who are Evelyn Adams, William Post, and Suzanne Mullins? We'll get to that in a moment.

There are essentially two ways to become an overnight success. Taylor Hicks, J. K. Rowling, and Tiger Woods exemplify the first way.

Taylor Hicks became an overnight success in the middle of 2006 when he won top spot on the "American Idol" TV show. That much many "American Idol" fans and music buffs around the world now know. What many don't know, or even think about, is that Taylor Hicks spent a decade as an independent artist before his overnight success. Had you been at the Playboy Mansion, the Talledega Motor Speedway, or in Auburn, Alabama on the right night, you might have gotten to hear him perform. Over the years, he did get to perform with such legendary names as James Brown, Tom Petty, and Jackson Browne. However, up until the night he won the "American Idol" competition, HIS name was not exactly a household item.

Joanne Rowling was turned down by Oxford College in her younger days and worked variously as a researcher and secretary and also in Portugal as a teacher of English. In the early 90's, she got the initial idea for the young wizard who eventually became Harry Potter, and began writing. She completed her first novel while she was unemployed. She was living at the time on what we in America would call "welfare". When she first tried to market "Harry Potter and the Philosopher's Stone", a close friend, who was on her side, advised her to "get a day job" because he didn't feel she had a chance to make much money in children's books. The first printing run was one-thousand books and half of those were sent to libraries. Today, those first one-thousand books are each one a collector's item in itself. While this ex-secretary and English teacher must surely be pleased by the fantastic income she has made from the Harry Potter books and movies, she is possibly even more pleased by the fact that in 2006, in a poll by "The Book Magazine", J. K. Rowling was selected as "the greatest living British writer."

Okay, so how did Tiger Woods get in a list of overnight successes?

Well, you may have seen a small trend in the mini-biographies of Taylor Hicks and J. K. Rowling. Although they fit into the category, even a cursory scanning of their lives shows they paid their dues for some time before success found them. In fact, the overnight success they experienced came about after years of disappointment, standing on the bottom rung of the ladder, and in some cases, not even being near the ladder.

Tiger Woods has been called by some a "golfing prodigy", and that is not an unrealistic assessment. However, even a Tiger Woods does not get to where he is today by strapping on a set of cleats and wandering out onto a golf course with a nine iron and a dream. He learns, practices, fails, assesses, moves forward, falls down, gets up, and starts all over again.

In other words, an overnight success very seldom happens overnight. The success comes after a lot of effort on the part of the successful person.

After a memorable performance, a great pianist was approached by one of the audience. The fan spoke glowingly about the performance and finished with the remark that she wished that she could play as well. Perhaps with more truth than tact, the pianist replied to the effect that she was wrong. She could NOT genuinely wish to play as well as he. Otherwise, she would practice for hours a day year after year as he did, rather than simply "wishing" she could play as well.

Overnight success is so named from its apparently sudden appearance on one's doorstep. However, success is not too good at finding people unless they have built a pathway for it to follow, and perhaps lit a beacon as well.

I mentioned that there are essentially two ways to become an overnight success, and I have concentrated on the first group for a reason. If you wish to join that group, YOU are the one in control of the situation. If you seriously want to be in the first group, you now have an idea of what you might need to do.

So, who are Evelyn Adams, William "Bud" Post, and Suzanne Mullins? They too were overnight successes. They each won a lottery.

Evelyn Adams actually was an overnight success twice. She won the New Jersey lottery in 1985 and 1986. She won a total of 5.4 million dollars. She lost it all, donating part of it to some needy Atlantic City slot machines. "Bud" Post won 16.2 million dollars in Pennsylvania but eventually wound up living on his social security. Suzanne Mullins won 4.2 million dollars in 1993. She lost all of it and went even deeper in debt through poor decisions on its use.

There's another term sometimes used for an overnight success. That term is "flash in the pan". Many people who are seeking what they see as success will often wind up as just a flash in the pan at best unless they are willing to get out the necessary tools and prepare the pathway so that success can find them.

Tiger Woods, J. K. Rowling, and Taylor Hicks were willing to build the pathway and keep it cleared. Their names will be familiar for years to come, and they can always claim the victor's laurel wreath for becoming an overnight success.

Audio Book Downloads - The Gutenberg Killers

Audio books are here to stay, say the experts. Judging by their steady year-on-year growth, this is not a marketing statement, but a fact. Now these same experts are predicting a dramatic upsurge in the sale of audio book downloads over the next two years.

The prediction makes sense in view of the following:

* The market penetration of MP3 and iPod devices is significant. This penetration is set to increase as some publishers are giving away MP3 players free of charge with purchases in order to encourage future downloads.

* Such downloads are quite a bit cheaper than printed books.

* Current generation readers enjoy the convenience of books which they can download from the comfort of their homes - even at 2 o'clock in the morning!

Purchasing an audio book online doesn't mean that you will only be offered older books or that you will have to make do with a limited variety. On the contrary, all the latest and greatest print releases are freely available as downloads nowadays. The same applies to all-time favorite novels, such as Harry Potter and all-time favorite authors such as Stephen King.

Harry Potter audio books

In spite of the controversies surrounding the six Harry Potter books, it became an overnight success: All these books have been translated into 47 languages with millions of copies sold worldwide; the seventh book is due for release; the fifth Harry Potter movie is in production; and all these titles are available in download format.

The readability of the Harry Potter series precludes children under the age of ten from comfortably reading it in print. This makes purchasing these books in digital format a worthwhile consideration. The popularity of Harry Potter's books has resulted in the series becoming available in most digital formats.

Jim Dale, the narrator, has won a Grammy Award, two Grammy nominations, and two AudioFile Earphone Awards for his work on the Harry Potter series.

A further plus-factor for purchasing the Harry Potter books in digital form is the price. You could save as much as 25% per book! The seventh book in the series, The Deathly Hallows, can now be pre-ordered. It may be a good time to order this pending release when you purchase the other Harry Potter books in the series.

Stephen King audio books

Stephen King is a firm favorite. Since his first book "Carrie" was published in 1973, Stephen King has written more than 60 novels, short stories, plays etc; twenty of his stories were made into films; and all his best selling books are available in digital format.

Of significance to the Stephen King fans, is the fact that he is about to retire, so in view of this imminent retirement, it could be worth considering purchasing one of the 'Stephen King Live' audio downloads available on the internet.

It is a live recording made in 1998 of a reading he made at London's Festival Hall, with Stephen King himself as the narrator. The recording is available on CDs or as an online download, but interestingly enough, not in printed format at all.

The unavailability of Stephen King Live in the printed media is an interesting phenomenon. What if emerging authors had to decide not to publish in print? Offering book downloads instead, could mean a wider reach, better sales and improved margins.

Audio books to download

There are literally thousands and thousands of these, and the numbers are increasing exponentially every day. So Who knows? Only the future can tell whether book downloads will one day rule. In other words, is the tyranny of the printed word coming to an end in a future near you? Bye-bye Gutenberg?

Honk if you anticipate we're hot

well, we were all bored on (a very HOT) 2007 summer day. We ventured down to the basement and found costumes and then danced on the street. Woo!

Put Movies On Zune

Putting movies on Zune is not difficult. In fact, using the zune software, it is very straight forward and easy.

The zune software allows you to sync your movies and video files from either itunes or windows media player. By default, when you connect the zune player to a computer, it will automatically synchronize between windows media player. It will then download your movies and videos files in the media library onto the zune player automatically.

The zune software is free to download. However you might want to take note of the specifications. Currently, it only supports Windows XP, home and professional, media editions as well as Windows Vista only. You can check the system requirements at http://www.zune.net

However, I do find the conversion process takes quite long even for small video files. Also, I tried the Zune marketplace where I can directly download the files on my Zune player. Unfortunately, sometimes the synchronization will fail and I will have to try 2 to 3 times before it will download properly. It's most likely a bug and I think they will fix it soon.

Currently, the Zune player can support three video formats namely WMV, MPEG-4 and H.264. Most resolutions and bitrates are allowed since the zune software will automatically convert the videos files to be compatible for playing on the zune player.

If you want to play your DVD movies on zune, you will need a DVD to zune video converter since the zune software does not convert different video formats for you. I'm using the Cucusoft DVD to Zune converter and it works well. You can use other software to convert DVD movies to Zune.

If you do not want to do the conversion, there are two options. One is to download from Zune marketplace. It is similar to the itunes store where you pay per download. They also have a subscription service where they provide a certain number of points which is deducted when you download a movie, mp3 or video. There are some bugs with the zune software and the zune marketplace so I would not recommend using it for the time being.

The other option is to purchase a membership at a zune download site. These Zune download sites let you download unlimited numbers of movies, videos and mp3 for a one time charge or on a yearly basis. It is cheaper and I highly recommend it if you are a movie or music junkie.

How Did JK Rowling Do It?

Fantasy fiction is big business, and many authors are trying hard to break in. The burning question on all their lips is, "How did JK Rowling do it?" And the answer to that is pretty simple. She gave the readers what they wanted.

1. Kids like chaos... but only a bit of it.

The Hogwarts school set up in the Harry Potter books is perfect. Kids love the idea of being away from the comfort of home, but are also deeply attracted to a sense of stability and find too much chaos too scary to contemplate. Being in a school situation is something they can relate to, and adding the -magic- element adds the necessary frisson of excitement that takes it just far enough out of the ordinary. The fact that the magic school is a cliche long used and abused in fantasy fiction, and lampooned successfully by Terry Pratchett, goes straight over the heads of the bulk of HP readers, purely because the target audience is too young to recognise the antecedents.

2. Kids like adults to be larger than life... but not all the time

And there's no bigger than Hagrid! Kids like their adults in fiction to be larger than life, and slightly eccentric. By populating Hogwarts with over the top personalities with many childlike characteristics it lets kids live out fantasies of relating to adults as equals without the stress of actually having to talk to real adults. And these child-like adults, and the father figure Dumbledore in particular, have to act responsibly when it comes to all the big decisions, just like parents in real life.

3. Kids like to be independent... but have friends close by

And where would Harry be without Ron and Hermione? Harry is just sufficiently independent to be cool, and close enough to his friends to be reassuringly normal. The angst of Harry's home life with the Beasleys is nicely counterpointed with his friendships to allow kids to relate to both.

4. Kids like to be scared... but only a bit.

And JK Rowling ramps up the scares to just the right degree, putting the friends in harms way on a regular basis, only for Harry to save the day with his bravery. And kids love the idea that they too would be just like Harry in such a situation.

5. Kids like new games... and old ones

And Quidditch is such a potent mix, of hockey, football and speed racing that, combined with the flying broomsticks, allows kids to play the game themselves in their heads, going far beyond the mere words on the page.

6. Kids like new ideas... and old ones

The whole Harry Potter series is a mixture of new and old ideas. JK Rowling has taken many fantasy tropes and mixed them with original ideas. The kids, although they might not even recognize it, are already steeped in the basics of storytelling through fairy tales and fables. JK Rowling has built on the basics, and in doing so created the ultimate in children's fantasies.

As writers, all we have to do to join her is understand the kids in the same way that she does.

Simple really.

Watch Free Online Movies

There are many online movie sites out there on the internet but most of them are just scams or fake sites. You also might hesitate to use them as most of them are likely to be involved with pirated or illegal content.

But there are loads of sites that offer great online movies and are legit. I already have my own website where i have links to legit sites that offer free online moves and tv shows.

There are 2 types of online movies sites. 1. Sites that offer movies that you can directly watch straight away using online software or a video player such as Divx.etc. 2. Websites where you can download movies and burn them to a disk. However most movie download sites may have viruses, spyware or other malicious content. If you are looking for an online movie site use a search engine such as Google or Yahoo! When searching use proper search terms otherwise it may turn up wrong results.

Use something like " Online movies ", " Watch movies online " or " Watch free online movies ". etc.
Another internet nightmare is " Online bootleg movies " which is basically illegal or pirated content such as movies and music uploaded to the internet before the official release date.

If you are sure the site you are using is legitimate and free check the internet for reviews. Remember a good movie site has good feedback and comments. Never give out your credit card details to movie sites until you are entirely sure that it it the real deal.

A Magical Introduction To Public Relations

If you were anywhere in the civilized world toward the end of June 2006 you probably witnessed public relations working its magic. While the release date of the final installment in the series of Harry Potter novels would not be announced for six months, something extraordinary happened. On a British talk show, author, J.K. Rowling, mentioned that two familiar characters would meet their doom in book number seven, and that one of them might be young Mr. Potter himself.

This short dialogue set an avalanche of press coverage into motion. All of the major television networks and their web and cable counterparts covered the story. The New York Times gave the story a prominent spot in its pages and on its website. Even the venerable Wall Street Journal gave it a mention. The story also graced the pages of newspapers across the globe thanks to news wire services such as the Associated Press and Reuters.

The trade journal Ad Age covered the story and the story behind the story- the reason this announcement is such a big deal.

When you look beneath the surface you see that not only is it in Ms. Rowling's interest to keep her work in the public eye, it is significant to the book's publisher, the producer and distributor of the popular Harry Potter movies, and a countless number of companies that make and sell Potter paraphernalia. Since the Harry Potter brand has reached a fanatical popularity with children and adults everywhere it is also in the interest of television producers, newspaper editors and magazine publishers to cover this announcement. Why? A mere mention of the boy wizard's name gets the instant attention of viewers and readers which is good for the organization covering the story and great for those who advertise with them.

"The Harry Potter phenomenon started with a unique product: an engaging, imaginative novel that bridged generations by captivating children and adults alike. Favorable media coverage stemming from the first book made Harry into a 'star' that became as newsworthy as anyone on the Hollywood A-list," says Michael Drabenstott, a partner in SPARK a PR and marketing firm based in suburban Philadelphia. "The public wanted to know about Harry and journalists willingly obliged. Each successive book stimulated additional excitement and buzz. When people you trust and admire talk about a product, you are more likely to buy it so you, too, can become part of the conversation," Drabenstott concludes.

This is the win-win-win situation created by the unique form of marketing created through PR. The people delivering the message win by getting the word out about their work, those delivering the message win because it draws the public to their information outlet, and the consumers win because they get access to the information that they crave. This is the magic of public relations.

Summer Movie Sequels - Do we really need?

Movie sequels are always made and, admittedly, with few exceptions, like "The Godfather Part II" and "Star Wars - The Empire Strikes Back", which are not as good as the original. (Or should I invite to my house to see "Cannonball Run 3?")

In addition to sequels, Hollywood has been the impression that we want the old television show seen on the big screen. (I can not wait to see "Moesha" in my neighborhood theater.)

But back to theContinuations, now waiting for years, even decades, before the incident, like the last Rocky, Rambo and Indiana Jones adventure. Sometimes waiting too long to reach a successor only prove disastrous results. Therefore, as the self-appointed ambassadors of good entertainment, I came with a list of films, I think we all want to avoid, too. I mean, honestly, you should shell out your hard-earned money to see:

1. "Sex and the City - Senior Style" (How is that forAlliteration meet?) The girls all for cosmopolitans and DE, Samantha, who thinks the hot, new box boy in the neighborhood of D'Agostino.

2. "Indiana Jones and the Mystery of the Black Hole" - Indie apply for an examination of the prostate.

3. "High School Musical September 17" - Songs: "The Way You Do The Things You Do With Colace" and "Assisted Living In The City."

4. "Rocky XX" - the last fight with Rocky and fill out forms for Medicare Part 6

5. "Friends Reunion" - Ross, Joey,Chandler, Monica, Rachel and Phoebe all agree to meet at Central Perk, memories, memories, only two, where it is.

6. "Get Smart, Again" - Max realizes that his true age is 99.

7. "XIII Rambo" - Rambo battles revolutionaries, rebels and three pees per night.

8. "Charlie's Angels - 30 Years Later" - Our three heroines of the struggle for a local K-Mart, in the last two "granny" panties.

9. Return CMXCVII Star Trek - William Shatner as Captain KirkCommander of the Enterprise, as he leads Mars, Jupiter, and kidney stones.

10 "Harry Potter and the Final Act of vardenafil Adventure" --

Harry is furious during the visit of the non-Social Security and can not find a parking space for handicapped his broom flying.

So there you have it, in any event ten films that should not be done. The frightening reality is that there is a rumor that someone is planning to make "Ishtar-2." You have been warned.

Harry Potter Chess Sets - Is a Harry Potter Chess Set Right For You? Avoid the Rip-Offs!

Harry Potter Chess Sets are a fun way to show your love of Harry Potter!

Ever since the original Harry Potter book came out (Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone), the fan base of the Harry Potter series has grown larger and larger. Many of these fans have become "rabid fans," or fans that will do just about anything to get a hold of Harry Potter items.

It is no surprise then, that after Harry Potter Wizard Chess was revealed in the book, and after Harry had to win a life-size Wizard's Chess game in the first book, that fans went nuts to find replica's of the chess sets for their very own home collection.

Seeing this gap in goods, product creators jumped onto the opportunity, and today we have a large variety of Harry Potter chess sets that we can get for our homes.

These sets range from under $50 to over $700! Obviously, the more you pay for one of these chess sets, the higher quality it will be.

Unfortunately, some greedy manufacturer's are out for nothing but extreme profit, and some of these sets are very low quality and are priced high.

They prey on Harry Potter fan's obsessions with the sets, and charge much more than they are worth.

However, as long as you are a smart shopper, you can avoid this issue.

Remember to always look at the feedback for the model chess set! If there is no feedback available, open a new window and search for the product in Google to see if you can find any feedback about the set.

Harry Potter Chess sets are a great way to express your love of the series, but remember to always be mindful of where you are buying from. If the supplier doesn't offer any ratings, feedback score or pictures, it should scream SCAM to you.

Just be careful, and soon enough you will enjoy a replica Harry Potter Chess Set in your own home that you can show off to all your friends! (Or keep to yourself if you're a closet fan.)

Happy and safe shopping!
